Muri Beachfront Villa sits directly on the sand at Muri Beach, on the eastern side of Rarotonga. The lagoon is a few steps from the door, so the calm, sandy-bottomed water that Muri is known for is there the moment you wake up rather than something you drive to.
The villa suits couples and families who want the beach to be part of the day instead of a destination. Mornings here tend to start with a swim or a paddle straight off the front lawn, and the small motu out across the lagoon are close enough to reach by kayak or on one of the lagoon cruises that leave from the beach nearby.
Muri is the liveliest stretch of the island. The night market, along with a good cluster of restaurants, cafes and bars, is within an easy walk. Snorkelling, paddleboarding and kite surfing all happen on this part of the lagoon, and the island bus stops on the main road and circles Rarotonga in both directions, so the rest of the island is simple to reach without a car.
The villa is modern, spacious and fully self contained, with free unlimited Wi-Fi, air conditioning, ceiling fans, screened windows, a large flat screen TV and a washing machine. You can cook when you feel like it and eat out when you do not.
We are Cook Islanders and we own and live on our family land here, so if you want a recommendation, a booking or a hand with anything during your stay, just ask. If you are still deciding which part of the island suits you, have a look at the rest of our Rarotonga holiday homes.
